Abstract: AN ENCLOSURE UNIT FOR A CHARGING PORT OF A VEHICLE The present disclosure discloses an enclosure unit (100) for a charging port (202) of a vehicle (200). The enclosure unit (100) includes a lid (150) connectable to a vehicle body (201) to operate between an open and closed condition. A hinge (101) is pivotably connectable to the body (201) to support the lid (150). A hinge pin (107) is movably disposed in the hinge (101), to displace the hinge (101) and operate the lid (150). A locking mechanism (114) is operably coupled to the hinge (101) and positioned in contact with the hinge pin (107). An actuator (118) is disposed in the body (201) of the vehicle (200) and connected to the hinge pin (107), to rotate the hinge pin (107). A controller is associated with the actuator (118), and is configured to selectively actuate the actuator (118) for operating the lid (150) between the open and the closed condition.
