Abstract: AN EMG CONTROLLED FINGER REHABILITATION AID FOR PATIENTS WITH C7-C8 SPINAL,l;ORD INJURY The titled invention discloses an EMG-controlled finger rehabilitation aid for patients with C7-C8 spinal cord injuries, who commonly experience partial or complete loss of finger movement Such impairments significantly reduce a patient's ability to perform 10 essential daily activities and require long-term rehabilitation. The system captures residual muscle activity from the patient's forearm using surface EMG sensors (2) in non-invasive manner. These signals are processed using an embedded microcontroller (1). Based on detected muscle contractions, the system activates a motor-driven finger gripper (5) mechanism to perform controlled finger flexion and 15 extension.
