Abstract: The present invention relates to an autonomous neuromorphic underwater coral restoration system (100). The system (100) includes a thruster (102), an inertial measurement unit (104), a depth sensor (106), an event-driven camera (108), a LED light source (110), a micro camera (112), a turbidity sensor (114), a computing unit (116), a communication module (122), a GPS receiver (124), a pod storage unit (126), a positioning unit (128), a dispensing unit (130), a localization unit (132), and a fault detection unit (134). The computing unit (116) includes a processing unit (118) and a memory unit (120). The computing unit (116) processes acquired data using a spiking neural network for real-time coral health classification and restoration decision generation. The system facilitates underwater navigation, spawning detection, selective pod retrieval, controlled pod deployment, localization, malfunction detection, data logging, and continuous autonomous coral reef monitoring and restoration operations.
