MUMBAI, India, Sept. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641113767 A) filed by Sreyas Institute Of Engineering And Technology on September 23, 2026, for An Autonomous Iot System With Machine Learning For Context-Aware Decision Support.

Inventors include Penjerla Naga Venkata Naveen Kumar; S. V. Maruthi Rao Chinnam; Kasanagottu Srinivas; and P. Chaitanya.

The application for the patent was published on September 25, 2026, under issue no. 39/2026.

Abstract: An autonomous context-aware IoT decision support system is disclosed comprising a sensor acquisition module (110), preprocessing unit (120), context fusion engine (130), edge machine learning inference module (140), decision support engine (150), actuation controller (160), feedback learning module (170), communication interface (180), and power optimization module (190). The system collects multi-modal environmental data and performs localized machine learning inference at edge nodes to generate contextual decisions in real time. Context vectors derived from fused sensor inputs enable adaptive reasoning beyond threshold-based automation. Decisions are executed autonomously while feedback mechanisms continuously refine learning performance. Selective cloud synchronization minimizes bandwidth usage and enhances privacy. The invention provides low-latency, scalable, and energy-efficient decision support suitable for smart environments, industrial monitoring, and intelligent infrastructure applications. The system enables autonomous operation through closed-loop contextual learning and adaptive response mechanisms.
