Abstract: An autonomous drone-assisted security monitoring system deploys a coordinated fleet of unmanned aerial vehicles, each fitted with a fused RGB and thermal-imaging camera and an on-board edge-computing unit, to patrol a monitored premises along dynamically allocated routes. Captured imagery is analysed locally to detect candidate intrusion events and compute a corresponding confidence score. Where this score meets a predefined threshold, the drone autonomously tracks the detected subject and transmits live video, geolocation, and metadata to a central command and control server, which cross-references the event against an access-control database before triggering an automated response — comprising sirens, floodlighting, and automated locking — while alerting designated security personnel. A network of unattended docking stations provides automated charging and data offload, and a coordination module allocates patrol zones across the fleet based on battery status and zone priority, enabling continuous, round-the-clock perimeter coverage without constant manual piloting or human video review.
