Abstract: An autonomous hardware watchdog, self-healing optical drift calibration, and threat isolation system for cyber-physical infrastructure is disclosed. The system comprises an analog peak-detect comparator array (102) configured to continuously sample photodiode voltage thresholds of a hardwired optoelectronic unidirectional data-diode assembly (100). A solid-state current auto-calibration loop (104) dynamically adjusts optical emitter drive current in response to photodiode aging, thermal degradation, or bio-fouling without software intervention. A hardwired silicon state machine (106) rotates volatile cryptographic verification keys at hardware clock cycles. Upon detecting optical attenuation exceeding a critical threshold, a network-bypassed physical Safety Instrumented System (SIS) relay (110) trips process isolation within 3 milliseconds, operating completely independent of external network availability or software code execution loops.
