Abstract: The present invention relates to autonomous anaerobic digestion system for biogas production incorporating integrated waste heat recovery and intelligent feedstock optimization for decentralized biogas plants. The system comprises an anaerobic digester (1) receiving organic feedstock including animal manure (15) and agricultural residues (16) from a feedstock tank (2) through a feed pump (4) via feed inlet (19). Produced biogas is stored in a gas holder (13) and supplied to a biogas generator (9) for electrical energy generation. Exhaust heat from the biogas generator (9) is captured by an exhaust heat recovery unit (3), transferred through a heat exchanger (5) and heat transfer line (11) to a heating coil (12), maintaining digestion temperature within 35°C to 38°C. A sensor module (7) comprising methane concentration sensor (6), temperature sensor (12), pH sensor (13), gas pressure sensor (23), and gas production rate sensor (24) transmits data to an AI control unit (10), which generates control signals to an automated feed control unit (14) to dynamically adjust feedstock composition and feeding rate, enabling closed-loop autonomous operation.
