Abstract: An automatic dual-stage power transmission system (18) includes a first input gear (34) and a second input gear (40) mechanically coupled to a drive shaft (46) of a drive unit (16). A driven shaft (32) is configured to be mechanically coupled to a driven component. A first output gear (38) and the second output gear (42) are mechanically coupled to the driven shaft (32). The first input gear (34) is mechanically engaged to the first output gear (38) and the second input gear (40) is mechanically engaged to the second output gear (42). A first one-way clutch (48) is mechanically coupled to the first input gear (34). Further, a second one-way clutch (50) is mechanically coupled to the second input gear (40). Furthermore, a controller (21) is configured to control the direction of rotation of the rotor (44) of the drive unit (16) based on a predetermined shift point speed.
