The automated system (100) comprises a structural frame (102), a platform bed (108), a rootstock gripping unit (114), a rootstock cutting unit (120), a bottom scion gripping unit (128), a scion cutting unit (134), a top scion gripping unit (140), a stepper motor (146), a magnetic clip feeding unit (148), a capturing unit (158), and a control unit (162). The automated system (100) includes a clip application mechanism configured for automated joining, thereby simplifying the graft securing process, reducing manual intervention, and ensuring consistent application force at the graft junction. The automated system (100) supports sequential processing of multiple seedlings using automated tray positioning, thereby significantly increasing operational throughput, reducing cycle time, and enabling efficient large-scale agricultural production.
