MUMBAI, India, Aug. 31 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202541015505 A) filed by Aegle Scientific Pvt Ltd. on February 21, 2025, for An Automated Multi-Functional Bio-Analyser.

Inventor includes Ibrahim, Bishor Varakukalayil.

The application for the patent was published on August 28, 2026, under issue no. 35/2026.

Abstract: The present invention relates to an automated integrated system for detecting nucleic acid, protein, antigen and antibodies in a given sample, using Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR), Time-Resolved Fluorescence Immunoassay (TRFIA) and Chemiluminescent Immunoassay (CLIA) techniques. The system (100) comprises a portable analyser (103) for automated sample movement, incubation, thermal cycling, and optical readouts; and a single-use disposable cartridge (102) for sample processing. The said cartridge (102) is prefilled with all necessary reagents and buffers to streamline workflow and minimize user intervention. Further, the samples can include blood, body fluids, animal, human, plant or food matrix, environmental samples, and forensic sample. The said automated multifunctional bio-analyser (100) facilitates reduced manual intervention, increased throughput, and improved accuracy and reliability of diagnostic assays, making it suitable for use in clinical laboratories, research settings, and field diagnostics.
