MUMBAI, India, Sept. 7 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641104101 A) filed by Mrs. K. Lavanya; and Dr. Krati Kulshrestha on August 28, 2026, for An Automated Green Bond Verification And Environmental Compliance Monitoring System.
Inventors include Mrs. K. Lavanya; and Dr. Krati Kulshrestha.
The application for the patent was published on September 04, 2026, under issue no. 36/2026.
Abstract: The present invention discloses an automated green bond verification and environmental compliance monitoring system for monitoring the financial utilization and environmental performance of projects financed through green bonds. The system receives green bond and project information, tracks allocation of bond proceeds, and acquires environmental data from multiple sources including IoT sensors, smart meters, remote-sensing systems, environmental databases, project reports, and authorized regulatory sources. A data validation module validates and normalizes the acquired information, while an environmental compliance engine compares observed performance with predefined environmental targets. An artificial intelligence-based anomaly detection module identifies abnormal financial and environmental patterns and potential discrepancies between reported and independently observed performance. A scoring engine generates a dynamic Green Bond Compliance Score based on financial allocation, project eligibility, environmental performance, regulatory compliance, reporting consistency, anomaly level, and data confidence. A risk classification module determines project risk, while an automated alert mechanism generates and escalates notifications for material deviations. An audit trail and reporting module maintain traceable verification records and generate compliance reports. The invention enables integrated, automated, and continuous monitoring of green bond utilization and environmental compliance.
