Abstract: AN AuNPs@rGO NANOCOMPOSITE-BASED ELECTROCHEMICAL DNA SENSOR FOR DETECTION OF ACINETOBACTER BAUMANNII CAUSING URINARY TRACT INFECTION The present invention relates to an AuNPs@rGO nanocomposite-based electrochemical DNA biosensor for the rapid, sensitive, and selective detection of Acinetobacter baumannii causing urinary tract infection. The biosensor is fabricated by modifying a screen-printed paper electrode with AuNPs@rGO nanocomposite and immobilizing a specific ssDNA probe through EDC/NHS chemistry. Target genomic DNA hybridization is detected using electrochemical techniques such as cyclic voltammetry and differential pulse voltammetry with methylene blue as a redox indicator. The developed biosensor exhibits high sensitivity, low detection limit, and a wide linear range, enabling efficient and rapid diagnosis of urinary tract infections in clinical samples.
