MUMBAI, India, Oct. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202621101673 A) filed by Prabhat Kumar on August 22, 2026, for An Asynchronously-Decoded One-Selector One-Resistor (1s1r) Ferrocene Molecular Storage System Integrated With A Compute Express Link Interface.

Inventor includes Prabhat Kumar.

The application for the patent was published on October 09, 2026, under issue no. 41/2026.

Abstract: An integrated solid-state molecular memory system comprises a Compute Express Link (CXL) Type 3 memory controller interfaced with a three-dimensional One- Selector One-Resistor (1S1R) molecular crossbar memory array. The array features non-volatile, redox-active molecular storage elements consisting of a mixed self- assembled monolayer of organometallic ferrocene-derivatives functionalized with covalent diazonium anchors and conjugated oligo-phenylene ethynylene (OPE) linkers. An unclocked, mixed-signal asynchronous ASIC decoder intercepts and translates byte-addressable CXL.mem write requests into precise analog trapezoidal voltage pulses. These pulses execute complete single-electron molecular oxidation or reduction write cycles in a self-contained 20-nanosecond window without system clock overhead, avoiding thermal breakdown of chalcogenide Ovonic Threshold Switch (OTS) selectors. The near-zero operating heat enables physical capacity scaling up to thousands of vertical layers via Through-Silicon Vias or Monolithic 3D integration.
