MUMBAI, India, Sept. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202541015065 A) filed by Happy Reliable Surgeries Pvt. Ltd. on March 21, 2025, for An Asymmetrical Tracker For Surgical Navigation.

Inventor includes Mr. Arpit Paliwal.

The application for the patent was published on September 25, 2026, under issue no. 39/2026.

Abstract: An asymmetrical tracker for surgical navigation [0037] The present invention discloses an asymmetrical tracker (100) for a surgical navigation system (105). The asymmetrical tracker comprises a tracker body having locator members (101a-101d) supporting optical markers (102a-102d) at fixed positions. The markers define a first vector arm (106) and a second vector arm (107) extending between respective marker pairs, wherein the vector arms intersect to form an X-shaped configuration. The first vector arm (106) has a length different from the second vector arm (107) to define an asymmetrical configuration. During operation, the navigation system detects the markers, determines spatial coordinates, and calculates vector lengths to determine spatial orientation of the tracker. The tracker is identifiable based on comparison of calculated vector lengths with stored reference values within a tolerance range, thereby improving robustness and reducing localization errors.
