Abstract: The present invention relates to an assistive walking stick for visually impaired persons. Assistive Walking Stick designed to enhance mobility and safety for visually impaired persons. The device integrates an ultrasonic sensor (102) mounted at the front to detect obstacles within a predetermined distance and a soil moisture sensor positioned at the tip to identify wet or slippery surfaces. An Arduino Nano microcontroller (101) processes sensor data and activates a vibration motor (104) and buzzer (105) to deliver distinct real-time alerts. A directional sensing unit, including an IMU or magnetometer, provides orientation guidance to assist navigation. An SOS push button (106) enables emergency activation, while a rechargeable battery (107) powers the system. The device offers multi-level haptic feedback, maintains low power consumption, and operates reliably indoors and outdoors without GPS or internet connectivity. Figure 1 illustrates the arrangement of components including the microcontroller (101), sensors (102, 103), alerting units (104, 105), and power supply (107).
