Abstract: AN ASSEMBLY OF MODULAR BRUSH HOLDER FOR AN EXTERNALLY EXCITED SYNCHRONOUS MOTOR The present disclosure relates to an assembly (100) of a brush holder for an Externally Excited Synchronous Motor (EESM). The assembly (100) comprises a mounting block (102) fixed to a rear cover of the EESM and defining a structural base relative to a slip ring region. A pair of mounting brackets (202-1, 202-2) are detachably mounted on the mounting block (102). A brush holder (204) is mounted on at least one of the pair of mounting brackets (202-1, 202-2) and is configured to retain one or more brushes in electrical contact with a slip ring. An electrical connector (104) is mounted on at least one of the pair of mounting brackets (202-1, 202-2) and is electrically connected to the brush holder (204), the electrical connector (104) being mechanically supported by the pair of mounting brackets (202-1, 202-2).
