Abstract: Conventional evidence transportation systems are susceptible to manual errors, delayed anomaly detection, fragmented chain-of-custody management, and dependence on continuous network connectivity. The present disclosure provides a method and system for secure handling and transportation of evidence using an AI-enabled smart framework. A smart evidence container (201) acquires multi-sensor data through a sensing module (202), preprocesses the acquired data using a data preprocessing unit (204), and performs contextual anomaly detection using an edge processing unit (206). An authentication and access control module (208) regulates access, while a communication module (210) generates and synchronizes blockchain-based chain-of-custody records with external systems (214). The framework further generates real-time alerts, maintains secure evidence traceability, supports operation during intermittent network connectivity, and continuously updates behavioural models to improve anomaly detection performance.
