Abstract: 041] The present invention discloses an artificial intelligence-driven multimodal surveillance and automated emergency-response system for real-time safety monitoring. One or more surveillance cameras provide video to an artificial-intelligence processing module configured for person detection and tracking, violence or anomalous-activity detection, and recognition of a predefined emergency hand gesture. Detection outputs are supplied to a threat-assessment and feature-fusion module that applies predefined confidence or threat criteria and provides an evaluated result to an incident-decision module. Upon determination of an emergency condition, an Internet-of-Things-enabled controller activates an emergency device, and a notification module transmits an alert to one or more authorized recipients. An incident- management module records event information including a timestamp, incident type, camera or location information, detection information and image or video evidence. A centralized monitoring interface presents surveillance status, incidents, alerts, evidence and analytics. At least part of the visual analysis may be performed at an edge-processing device to reduce response latency. Accompanied Drawing [FIGS. 1]
