Abstract: ABSTRACT AN ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE BASED SYSTEM AND METHOD TO DETECT, AND MITIGATE HARMONIC DISTORTIONS WITHIN ELECTRICAL TRANSMISSION NETWORKS The present invention relates to an artificial intelligence (XAI) based system and method to detect, analyze, and mitigate harmonic distortions within electrical transmission networks. The system comprises data acquisition module (1) configured to collect grid data from sensors, feature extraction engine (2) configured to process data and extract harmonic-related features; machine learning model configured to detect and predict harmonic distortions, explanation generation module (3) configured to provide human-understandable explanations of the model’s decisions, mitigation recommendation engine (4) configured to recommend mitigation strategies with supporting explanations and user interface (5) configured to display results and facilitate user interaction.
