MUMBAI, India, Aug. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611075402 A) filed by Chitkara University on June 18, 2026, for An Artificial Intelligence-Based Adaptive Calibration System For Infrared Thermography Devices.

Inventors include Nagesh Kumar; and Tapas Sharma.

The application for the patent was published on August 07, 2026, under issue no. 32/2026.

Abstract: The present invention relates to an artificial intelligence-based adaptive calibration system(100) for infrared thermography devices. The present invention includes a gradient radiation source(102), a temperature sensor(110), a heater(112), an edge computing unit(114), a wireless communication module(120), a cloud server computer(122). The gradient radiation source(102) is configured to generate a non-uniform thermal emission profile for calibration of an infrared thermography device. The edge computing unit(114) is connected to the temperature sensor(110) and the heater(112). The edge computing unit(114) having an edge memory unit(116) and an edge processing unit(118). The cloud server computer(122) is connected to the edge computing unit(114) through the wireless communication module(120). The cloud server computer(122) having a cloud server database(124) and a cloud server processor(126). The system(100) is configured to generate and maintain a plurality of independently controllable temperature gradients to produce non-uniform thermal emission profile for improving calibration accuracy of infrared thermography device under varying operating conditions.
