MUMBAI, India, Sept. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511021381 A) filed by Amity University on March 10, 2025, for An Artifical Intelligence Based Ceiling-Mounted Cloth Drying System.

Inventors include Jitendra Singh Jadon; and Aarushi Chauhan.

The application for the patent was published on September 25, 2026, under issue no. 39/2026.

Abstract: The present invention relates to an artificial intelligence-based ceiling-mounted cloth drying system designed for automatic drying and protection of clothes from unfavorable environmental conditions. The system comprises a structural supporting frame (10) mounted on a ceiling, a sensor module (20) configured to detect environmental parameters including humidity, rainfall, temperature, and load conditions, and an AI processing unit (30) configured to analyze sensor data. A motorized sliding rail mechanism (40) is operatively connected to the supporting frame (10) and is configured to automatically extend or retract a drying rack based on control signals generated by the AI processing unit (30). The system further includes a wireless communication module (50) for transmitting operational data, a user interface module (60) enabling monitoring and manual control through a mobile application, and a power management unit (70) configured to regulate energy consumption. The system automatically retracts the drying rack during rainfall or high humidity and extends the rack under favorable drying conditions, thereby improving drying efficiency and reducing manual intervention.
