Abstract: The present disclosure proposes an aqueous conductive polyaniline composite for electrostatic discharge protection and method for preparing the same. The aqueous conductive polyaniline-based composite suitable for electrostatic discharge (ESD) protection. Specifically, the invention pertains to the synthesis of water-dispersible polyaniline composite dispersions comprising doped polyaniline, polymer stabilizers, and optional carbon additives, and to conductive coating compositions derived therefrom exhibiting controlled electrical conductivity within conductive and dissipative ranges. The aqueous conductive polyaniline composite suitable for forming coatings capable of electrostatic discharge (ESD) protection. The developed environmentally benign, water-based synthesis process for preparing conductive polymer dispersions without the use of organic solvents. The proposed stable and water-dispersible polyaniline composite dispersion exhibiting improved dispersion stability and uniform coating characteristics. The achieved controlled electrical conductivity within conductive and dissipative ranges, suitable for electrostatic discharge protection applications.
