Abstract: The present invention relates to an apparatus (100) for coating or encapsulating articles (2), comprising a rotating drum (3) with a side wall (31), the drum (3) being sized to contain and stir a batch of articles (2) to be coated during the rotation of the drum; a dispensing group (6) with at least one nozzle (7) for spraying a coating product on the articles (2) contained in the drum (3); and stirring blades (1) located inside the drum and that rotate with the drum, wherein said blades (1) are linked to the drum able to move with respect to the side wall (31) and the apparatus (100) comprising positioning means (8) for positioning the blades (1) that are configured to bring the blades closer or further away from said side wall (31) and that are manually or automatically adjustable, said adjustment affecting the position adopted by the blades with respect to the side wall (31) and consequently also the path that said blades follow about the axis of rotation of the drum when the drum rotates.
