Abstract: AN APPARATUS FOR TRIGGERING AN EMERGENCY EXIT OF A VEHICLE The present disclosure discloses an apparatus (100) for triggering an emergency exit. The apparatus includes a lever (22), pivotable about a fulcrum (7) in the casing (1). The lever (22) is defined by a hammer portion (3) at one end and a counterbalance portion (21) at an opposite end of the hammer portion (3). The counterbalance portion (21) is adapted to displace the lever (22) relative to the fulcrum (7) based on movement of the vehicle. The hammer portion (3) of the lever (22) is configured to selectively pivot into the opening (11) of the casing (1) and engage with the glass portion (4), based on movement of the counterbalance portion (21) of the lever. With such configuration, the apparatus (100) defines a passage through barriers in toppled vehicle leading to the emergency exit thereby eliminating need for passengers to climb the barriers to reach the emergency exit.
