Abstract: The present invention relates to an apparatus for quantum-inspired optimization of large-scale datasets. The apparatus comprises a data ingestion unit, a dataset normalization unit, a constraint encoding engine, a quantum-inspired state generator, a probabilistic transition controller, an annealing schedule manager, a candidate evaluation processor, a convergence verification module, an explainability module, and an optimized output interface. The apparatus receives large-scale datasets, converts the datasets into optimization-ready representations, encodes hard and soft constraints, and generates probability-weighted candidate states representing possible solution configurations. The probabilistic transition controller performs quantum-inspired transitions, including tunnelling-inspired movement across less favourable solution regions, to reduce local optimum trapping. The annealing schedule manager adaptively adjusts exploration and convergence parameters over successive cycles. The candidate evaluation processor calculates objective scores, and the convergence verification module identifies optimized results. The apparatus provides scalable, explainable, and deployable optimization on classical computing infrastructure without requiring an actual quantum processor. Accompanied Drawing [FIGS. 1-2]
