Abstract: The present invention relates to a portable apparatus for detecting biochemical analytes using electrochemiluminescence (ECL). The apparatus comprises a 3D-printed enclosure with a sensor tray mechanism to align an ECL biosensor with a smartphone camera, compartments for housing components, and a camera observation window. The ECL biosensor includes an anode, cathode, and a sample well for luminophore reactions. A DC-DC buck-boost converter, powered by a rechargeable 3.7- volt battery, provides controlled electric potential. A Type-C TP4056 charging module recharges the battery, while a self-locking circular switch ensures operational safety. The smartphone, integrated with a dedicated application, captures luminescence signals and processes them to determine analyte concentrations. This innovative design offers portability, accuracy, and standalone functionality, eliminating the need for traditional bulky equipment, making it suitable for point-of-care and field applications.
