Abstract: ABSTRACT TITLE: “AN APPARATUS FOR CONDUCTING TENSILE SHEAR PROOF TEST FOR PRESSURE-SENSITIVE ADHESIVE TAPES” The present invention relates to an apparatus (100) for conducting a tensile shear proof test on pressure-sensitive adhesive (PSA) tapes, ensuring accurate and reliable evaluation of adhesion strength. An apparatus for conducting a tensile shear proof test for pressure-sensitive adhesive (PSA) tapes (100), the apparatus (100) comprising: a test box (140) with a roller arrangement (102) attached to opposite walls, configured to hold a tape sample (112) in a vertical orientation. The roller arrangement (102) rotates while the tape sample (112) is attached. A dead weight system (150) with calibrated cylindrical weights (502, 504) is attached to the tape's second end, applying consistent force and lifting when the roller rotates. A micro switch (208) beneath the weight system (150) activates when a weight (152,154) is placed on it, triggering a timer counter (116) upon deactivation. The timer counter(150) stops when the weight falls back, indicating tape failure. The apparatus (100) enables simultaneous testing, eliminating manual monitoring for improved efficiency. [
