MUMBAI, India, Oct. 5 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202541031679 A) filed by Government Cpc Polytechnic Mysuru; Department Of Collegiate on March 31, 2025, for An Apparatus And Method For Detecting Stages Of Vector Borne Diseases.

Inventor includes Dr. Ranjith Basave Gowda.

The application for the patent was published on October 02, 2026, under issue no. 40/2026.

Abstract: ABSTRACT AN APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR DETECTING STAGES OF VECTOR BORNE DISEASES Embodiments of present disclosure generally relate to biosensing technologies used for disease detection, and more particularly relate to an apparatus and method for detecting stages of vector borne diseases. In an embodiment, method includes receiving, by the apparatus, one or more body fluid samples associated with one or more subjects into central cavity via micro-fluidic channel. Further, method includes receiving, by the apparatus, one or more light beams on the DBR based mirror structure, from light source, upon receiving the one or more body fluid samples. Furthermore, method includes generating, by the apparatus, resonating mode in a Photonic Band Gap (PBG) region associated with the DBR based mirror structure. Further, the one or more light beams of resonant wavelength are confined within the central cavity. Finally, the method includes performing, by the apparatus, shift in the generated resonant mode, based on interaction with the one or more body fluid samples. [FIG. 1A is a reference figure]
