Abstract: The present invention relates to an antimicrobial filter for safe drinking water and its method of preparation. The AgNPs incorporated Paper purifier for Point-of-use water purification against waterborne pathogens. An antimicrobial filter to make safe drinking water easily accessible in emergent situations. Certain parameters like pH, electrical conductivity (EC), total dissolved solids (TDS) and turbidity of the water sample before and after filtration through both AgNP treated and untreated filter paper were also evaluated to check for any change in the parameters after treatment through AgNP treated filter papers.
