Abstract: The present invention relates to an antimicrobial composition, more particularly a liquid composition that is not harsh on the surfaces being cleaned. This is achieved by combining an amino acid surfactant with an alkanediol and a chelating agent, none of which in themselves have any significant antimicrobial efficacy.
