Abstract: An anti-emulsification system (100) and method for a low-carbon fuel-based internal combustion engine (106) are disclosed. The system (100) includes at least one cold trap channel (102) disposed beneath each cylinder liner (204) of the engine (106) with an outer diameter substantially matching an inner diameter of the cylinder liner (204), configured to collect condensed water and engine oil residues formed from blow-by gases in the combustion chamber. A centralized conduit (104) fluidly connects all cold trap channels (102) and routes the collected mixture to an oil-water separator (110). The oil-water separator (110) includes a rotatable bowl (304), a stack of conical discs (306) forming narrow separation channels, and an electric motor for rotation, generating centrifugal force to separate denser water towards the bowl wall and lighter oil towards the center. An oil mist separator (112) receives the separated oil and returns it to an oil sump after mist removal.
