Abstract: The invention relates to anisotropic ferrite powder used for producing a bonded magnet, a method for producing the same, and a bonded magnet containing the same. Accordingly, the present invention relates to a method of producing anisotropic Strontium Hexaferrite (SFO) powder using a cationic surfactant, which comprises the steps of a) mixing raw materials for strontium hexaferrite to prepare a raw material mixture comprising precursors; b) calcining the raw material mixture in atmospheric air, followed by subsequent pH-adjusted wet pulverization in potable water containing a cationic surfactant to obtain a preliminary granular powder; c) annealing the granular powder from step b) to eliminate unwanted strains present in the granular powder to obtain annealed granular powder; and d) dispersing the annealed granular powder from step c) with water containing a cationic surfactant at pH 6 – 7 for 10-20 minutes, followed by drying the same to obtain the highly-square anisotropic SFO powder.
