MUMBAI, India, Sept. 14 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641105860 A) filed by Kakatiya Institute Of Technology & Science, Warangal on September 02, 2026, for An Android-Controlled Smart Tractor Automation System Using Esp32-Cam And Linear Actuators.

Inventors include Dr. Mohammed Sharfuddin Waseem; and Dr. Niranjan Polala.

The application for the patent was published on September 11, 2026, under issue no. 37/2026.

Abstract: The present invention concerns an automation system for an agricultural tractor which is controlled remotely by an Android computer, and which is based on embedded control technology, wireless communication, camera-based monitoring and mechanical automation with linear actuators. The system consists of an Android based mobile application, wireless communication interface, embedded control unit (ESP32-CAM), motor driver circuits and linear actuator assemblies with tractor control mechanism. The ESP32-CAM controller receives commands from the Android application and operates the linear actuators to automate tractor operations. The built-in camera module serves as visual feedback to the remote operator in real time. The invention presents a solution of inexpensive construction, retrofit friendly application, which can be used for the conversion of conventional tractors to smart automated agricultural vehicles, which helps improving safety at operation, manual dependency and helps smart farming applications.
