The system (100) includes a plurality of sensors (102) disposed on the vehicle (10). The plurality of sensors (102) generate sound data from sounds detected in a surrounding environment of the vehicle (10). The system (100) includes a control unit (104) which is operably connected to the plurality of sensors (102). The control unit (104) receives the sound data from the plurality of sensors (102). The control unit (104) analyses the sound data to determine an approach sound data. The control unit (104) generates at least one alert to alert the rider based on the determined approach sound data.
