MUMBAI, India, July 7 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411103774 A) filed by Maruti Suzuki India Limited on December 27, 2024, for An Air-Guiding Structure Of A Vehicle.

Inventors include Thomas, Georgy Joseph; Saxena, Prashant Kumar; and Sikka, Anmol.

The application for the patent was published on July 03, 2026, under issue no. 27/2026.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a front-end structure assembly (900) of a vehicle. The front-end structure assembly (900) includes an air-guiding structure (100, 200) that is disposed between a front bumper (400) and a heat exchanger (300) to facilitate airflow from a plurality of air inlets (402) of the front bumper (400) toward the heat exchanger (300). The air-guiding structure (100, 200) includes a grid-like structure that defines a curved contour to direct airflow along the simulated curved contour. The air-guiding structure (100, 200) includes a stepped-shaped structure that defines a curved contour to direct airflow along the simulated curved contour. The curved contour of the air-guiding structure (100, 200) is adapted to direct the airflow to adhere to the simulated curved contour and prevent the formation of eddy flow, which ultimately enhances velocity of the airflow toward the heat exchanger (300).
