Abstract: ABSTRACT The present invention relates to an Alankhar system (100) comprising a garment image capture module (102) that captures an image of a garment, and a garment attribute tagging module (104) that identifies, from the captured image, a garment attribute comprising a garment category, a colour, and a pattern, using a trained model. A virtual wardrobe repository (106) stores the tagged garment item, and a user preference profile module (108) stores a style preference of a user, both being provided to an outfit recommendation engine (110) that generates an outfit combination therefrom, optionally based further on an occasion or contextual input received via an occasion and context input module (112). A style compatibility scoring module (114) computes a compatibility score for the generated outfit combination, a virtual try-on module (116) renders a visualisation thereof, and a feedback learning module (118) updates the stored style preference based on user feedback, thereby assisting a user in selecting a contextually appropriate outfit from their own wardrobe.
