Abstract: 7. ABSTRACT The present invention relates to an AI-powered autonomous agent system (100) for automated flight disruption detection, refund processing, and intelligent rebooking. The system (100) comprises an email listener module (101), an AI data extraction engine (102), an orchestration and routing module (103), a browser automation agent (104), a heuristic rebooking engine (105), a notification engine (106), a command center module (107), and a database module (108). The email listener module (101) detects a flight disruption notification within an electronic mail inbox, and the AI data extraction engine (102) applies a large language model to extract structured flight data therefrom together with a confidence score, applying a retry mechanism upon low confidence. The browser automation agent (104) autonomously submits a refund form on a remote airline server and, in conjunction with the heuristic rebooking engine (105), autonomously selects and holds an optimal alternative flight based upon a weighted evaluation of carrier diversity, departure time, and flight duration. The notification engine (106) dispatches a multi- channel confirmation, and the database module (108) records a pipeline identifier, extracted data, screenshots, and per-phase latency measurements for each workflow instance, thereby providing an autonomous, auditable, end-to-end flight disruption recovery system requiring no manual intervention.
