MUMBAI, India, June 30 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641073768 A) filed by Vellore Institute Of Technology on June 14, 2026, for An Ai-Driven Predictive Crowd Safety And Intelligent Exit Management System.
Inventors include R Sujatha; Lingesh M; and Tushar Choudhary.
The application for the patent was published on June 26, 2026, under issue no. 26/2026.
Abstract: AN AI-DRIVEN PREDICTIVE CROWD SAFETY AND INTELLIGENT EXIT MANAGEMENT SYSTEM The present invention relates to an artificial intelligence- based predictive crowd management and exit equalization system for preventing crowd congestion and crush conditions in large public gatherings, as illustrated in FIG. 1. The system comprises AI-based density estimation, congestion forecasting, risk classification, routing, and steward guidance modules, as shown in FIG. 1 and FIG. 2. Real-time video feeds are analyzed using convolutional neural network-based analytics to estimate crowd density and predict congestion near exits, as illustrated in FIG. 2 and FIG. 3. The system computes exit-specific stress levels and generates routing recommendations to redistribute crowd flow toward less congested exits, as shown in FIG. 3 and FIG. 4. The invention operates in a continuous feedback loop to dynamically balance exit utilization and reduce crowd crush risks during large- scale events.
