Abstract: ABSTRACT [0026] The growing demand for automation in industrial material handling and quality control procedures, this project focuses on the design and development of an AI-based shape detecting and sorting robot. Conventional sorting techniques are frequently labour-intensive, prone to mistakes, and reliant on manual labour, which lowers overall uniformity and efficiency. The main goal of this project is to create an intelligent robotic system that can use artificial intelligence techniques to precisely detect and classify things according to their shapes. To accomplish real-time detection and classification, the suggested system combines robotic actuation, machine learning techniques, and image processing. To assess system performance, extensive testing was done under various lighting and object circumstances. The outcomes validate the efficacy of the suggested method by showing that the robot can detect and sort different forms with acceptable accuracy and speed. The system is appropriate for small-scale industrial and educational applications due to its increased efficiency, decreased human intervention, and dependable functioning. All things considered, the project accomplishes its goals and offers a scalable basis for future improvements like sophisticated object detection and interaction with automated production lines. The project and prototype can be scaled to bigger and higher numbers to manage higher loads and provide more efficiency. The entire project is cost efficient and gives the best value for money compared to other technologies. The potential ceiling is very high and can be used to implement for various different applications that can be used in daily life and in various industries.
