MUMBAI, India, Sept. 14 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611086822 A) filed by Suresh Gyan Vihar University on July 15, 2026, for An Ai-Based Predictive Maintenance Apparatus For Industrial Machinery Failure Detection.

Inventors include Dr. Arastu Sharma; and Dr. Sandhya Sharma.

The application for the patent was published on September 11, 2026, under issue no. 37/2026.

Abstract: An AI-based predictive maintenance apparatus detects developing failures in industrial machinery by acquiring multiple condition signals, conditioning the signals, extracting diagnostic features, and applying machine learning analysis near the equipment. The apparatus evaluates abnormal patterns, classifies probable fault conditions, scores maintenance severity, and presents prioritized technician guidance through a local or networked interface. Stored baseline information and validated service feedback support machine specific diagnostic improvement. The apparatus also maintains useful operation during network interruption by processing data locally and forwarding processed maintenance records after communication is restored.
