Abstract: The present invention relates to an automated airway assessment system and method for predicting intubation difficulty using multi-view anatomical image analysis and artificial intelligence. The system comprises a multi-view image acquisition module configured to capture anatomical images of a patient from a plurality of viewpoints including facial, profile, oral cavity, and neck extension views. A feature extraction module processes the acquired images to identify anatomical landmarks and derive airway-related characteristics. The extracted features are integrated through a feature fusion mechanism to generate a comprehensive representation of the patient's airway anatomy. A prediction module utilizes the fused features to generate an airway difficulty assessment, risk category, or intubation difficulty prediction. An explainability module provides interpretable information by identifying anatomical regions and features contributing to the generated assessment. The system further includes a clinician interface for presenting airway difficulty scores, prediction confidence, explanatory information, and decision-support outputs. The invention enables objective, non-invasive, and automated airway evaluation, thereby reducing dependence on subjective clinical assessment and improving consistency in airway management planning. The proposed system is applicable in preoperative assessment, emergency medicine, intensive care, anesthesia practice, and other clinical environments requiring airway evaluation and intubation planning.
