Abstract: The present invention relates to an AI-based diagnostic system and method for fault detection in electrical circuits. The system comprises sensors for acquiring electrical operating parameters from a circuit, a signal conditioning module, a data acquisition unit, a preprocessing module, a feature extraction module, an AI diagnostic engine, a fault classification module, a severity estimation module, and an output interface. The AI diagnostic engine processes diagnostic features derived from voltage, current, impedance, leakage current, temperature, waveform distortion, frequency, and related parameters to detect abnormal circuit behaviour. The system classifies fault conditions including open-circuit faults, short-circuit faults, overload faults, ground faults, insulation degradation, arcing faults, loose connections, overheating, and intermittent contact faults. The invention further estimates fault severity, generates confidence-based diagnostic outputs, and may determine probable fault location. The system enables real-time monitoring, early fault prediction, reduced false alarms, improved electrical safety, and preventive maintenance of electrical circuits. Accompanied Drawing [FIGS. 1-2]
