MUMBAI, India, Sept. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641110929 A) filed by Srm Institute Of Science And Technology, Ramapuram Campus; and Easwari Engineering College on September 16, 2026, for An Ai-Based Automated Curtain System With Sunlight Tracking And Thermal Optimization.

Inventors include Dr. S. Suresh; and Dr. V. Gokula Krishnan.

The application for the patent was published on September 25, 2026, under issue no. 39/2026.

Abstract: Abstract: The present disclosure concerns an automated curtain control system that is capable of adjusting indoor lighting and temperature conditions to an optimum level. The system includes a motorized curtain mechanism coupled with an actuator unit, a sensor module comprising light, temperature, and motion sensors, and a control unit housing the AI programs. The unit keeps track of sunlight intensity, room temperature, and user presence, and it changes the curtain position to adjust natural light and heat transfer accordingly. Moreover, the AI-driven controller forecasts changes in the environment and sets curtain operation accordingly to maximize energy savings and improved comfort level. This invention is a mechanical solution that adjusts itself in real-time for the intelligent management of sunlight exposure and thermal optimization in home and office places.
