Abstract: Abstract The present invention relates to an AI-based adaptive video interview system for automated resume validation and candidate competency assessment. The system comprises a candidate interface (100), resume analysis module (101), adaptive question generation module (102), response evaluation module (103), video analysis module (104), threshold control and decision module (105), evaluation report generator (106), and report and data storage (107). The system extracts skills and relevant concepts from a candidate's resume using natural language processing and generates adaptive interview questions. Candidate responses are evaluated for technical correctness, reasoning, and communication, while video analysis identifies selected behavioural indicators. Question difficulty is adjusted based on performance, and threshold-based control manages interview continuation or termination. A structured report is generated comprising competency assessment and resume-to-performance alignment.
