Abstract: The present invention relates to an AI- enabled intelligent academic backpack system(100). The system(100) includes a bag(102) incorporating a sensor array(104), a camera(112), an LED strip(114), a voice assistant module(116), a buzzer(118), a battery(120), a solar fabric panel(122), a piezoelectric energy harvesting straps(124), a computing unit(126), a display screen(132) and a communication module(134). The sensor array(104) includes a weight sensor(106), an infrared occupancy sensor(108) and a hall-effect sensor(110). The computing unit(126) includes a memory unit(128) and a processing unit(130). The system(100) generates and continuously updates personalized Digital Twin based on user-specific academic data and historical packing behaviour, predicts required academic items, performs on-device object recognition and multi-sensor fusion for autonomous item verification, identifies missing, misplaced, or unnecessary items, provides compartment-specific placement guidance and corrective notifications, adaptively improves prediction using machine learning, and enables low-power real-time operation using energy harvested from the solar fabric panel(122) and the piezoelectric energy harvesting straps(124).
