Abstract: [082] The present invention relates to an AI, IoT and blockchain enabled system and method for real-time automated crop insurance claim assessment and settlement. The system comprises an IoT sensor layer for continuously acquiring agricultural and environmental parameters, an edge or fog data aggregation layer for preprocessing heterogeneous sensor data, and an artificial intelligence based assessment layer for determining crop stress, damage severity and yield loss using sensor, remote-sensing and historical agricultural information. A fraud detection mechanism identifies inconsistencies between reported claim information and independently acquired agricultural data. When a determined loss satisfies an applicable insurance policy threshold, a blockchain-based smart contract verifies policy conditions and automatically initiates a settlement transaction. The system further provides identity and policy verification, a multilingual mobile user interface, insurer and regulator access, local data buffering, asynchronous communication and offline synchronization for low-connectivity agricultural environments. The invention provides an integrated and auditable technical framework for reducing manual intervention, accelerating claim processing, improving claim-data verification and enabling transparent automated crop insurance settlement.
