MUMBAI, India, Sept. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641113496 A) filed by Anurag University on September 22, 2026, for An Agentic Artificial Intelligence (ai)-Based Autonomous Agricultural Drone System For Disease Detection, Decision-Making And Targeted Precision Spraying.
Inventor includes Ms. Maddineni Akhila.
The application for the patent was published on September 25, 2026, under issue no. 39/2026.
Abstract: ABSTRACT The present invention relates to an agentic artificial intelligence (AI)-based autonomous agricultural drone system (100) for automated crop disease detection, decision-making and targeted precision spraying. The system comprises a power system (102), a sensor subsystem (104), an onboard edge AI processing unit (106), a flight control unit (108), an actuator subsystem (110), a spraying module (112), and a communication and data subsystem (114). The sensor subsystem (104) captures crop images, geographical position, orientation, altitude and obstacle information. The onboard edge AI processing unit (106) executes an agentic AI engine configured to detect crop diseases, estimate disease severity, evaluate detection confidence, determine spraying requirements, plan spraying actions and optimize flight routes. The flight control unit (108) controls autonomous navigation, while the actuator subsystem (110) controls propulsion and pesticide delivery. The spraying module (112) selectively discharges pesticide through precision spray nozzles onto identified diseased crop locations. The communication and data subsystem (114) stores and transmits disease, flight and spraying data for remote monitoring and management. The figure associated with the abstract is Fig. 1.
