Abstract: The present invention discloses an aerosol-generating device. An aerosol-generating device comprises a body (200) configured to hold a cartridge (100). The aerosol generating device includes a pressure sensor (307) capable of detecting pressure in at least one airflow channel of the aerosol generating device. Further, the aerosol generating device includes a control unit (300). The control unit (300) receives a pressure signal from the pressure sensor (307), determines a plurality of pressure signal parameters, detects a plurality of events based on at least two of the determined plurality of pressure signal parameters. Further, the control unit (300) controls operation of the aerosol generating device in response to a detected event from the plurality of events.
