MUMBAI, India, Sept. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511022831 A) filed by Itc Limited on March 13, 2025, for An Aerosol Generating Article With Improved Airflow And Reduced Draw Resistance.

Inventors include Vinze, Ravish; Kastha, Anindya; and Rohith, Koilada Pavan.

The application for the patent was published on September 25, 2026, under issue no. 39/2026.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to an aerosol generating article (100) includes an aerosol generating substrate segment (102) configured to generate an aerosol to be inhaled by a user. The aerosol generating substrate segment (102) consists of an aerosol-generating substrate. The aerosol generating article (100) includes a bridge segment (104) coupled to the aerosol generating substrate segment (102), and configured to guide the generated aerosol towards a downstream end (100-1) of the aerosol generating article (100) with no pressure drop. The aerosol generating article (100) includes a cylindrical section (106) configured at an upstream end (100-2) of the article (100) and coupled to the aerosol generating substrate segment (102). The cylindrical section (106) functions as a barrier to prevent particles of the aerosol generating substrate from contaminating a heating cavity of the aerosol generating device, thereby facilitating improved airflow within the aerosol generating article (100).
