Abstract: An adjustment system (100) for adjusting a suspension system of a vehicle (10), and comprising an optical sensor (110) to detect a pothole (P) in the road, a dual frequency sensor (120) having a second ultrasonic frequency generator (140) configured to emit an ultrasonic wave of a second frequency, and an electronic control unit (150) configured to receive an optical sensor input from the optical sensor (110) corresponding to detection of the pothole (P), activate the second ultrasonic frequency generator (140) to emit the ultrasonic wave towards the pothole (P) to determine a depth (H) of the pothole (P), transmit a signal to a control unit of the suspension system to adjust the suspension system based on the depth (H) of the pothole (P). The adjustment system (100) facilitates avoiding passenger discomfort when the vehicle (10) is being driven over an uneven terrain.
